Get the gear you need, when you need it 

We know how expensive trips can become, especially when you need to invest in a bunch of new kit. Often you have to comprise, choosing a cheaper product - sacrificing performance and longevity. Cheap gear, produced unsustainably with poor labour standards, used once before failing and being thrown away. 

That’s not good enough. We’re building a better way. 

Our rental service gives you access to the high-quality gear you need when you need it. Quality items, repaired and reproofed by our in-house Service Centre team between uses. And the aim of upcycling or recycling every item when it reaches the end of its usable life. 

Please note the current turnaround time for our wash service is approximately two weeks from receipt of your item. For sleeping bags, this may be a little longer to allow for thorough down drying and re-circulation.

How Rab Rental Works

Simply book out your kit and we’ll make sure it arrives in plenty of time for your trip. All the items we rent are inspected, cleaned, repaired, and reproofed between each use to guarantee you the best performance possible. 

Reserve

Select the kit you want to try and reserve it for the period you need. You can keep hold of the gear for between 3 and 21 days.  

Enjoy

Your gear will be delivered to you in reusable packaging in time for the start of your rental. Whether you’re using it for the trip of a lifetime, or just testing it out before you buy.  

Return

Return the gear at the end of the rental period using the reusable packaging it was delivered in. You can return it to us for free at any Post Office

Refresh

All rented gear that is returned to us is expertly washed dried and inspected for any repairs. Our Service Centre team return it to peak condition, ready for the next adventure.

This service is available for Rab apparel and sleeping bags only. Items not manufactured by us, although we wish we could help you out, will be returned to sender.

Got a damaged and dirty item? Unfortunately, if your gear is torn or damaged in any way, we can’t put it through the wash. But not to worry, you can get your kit repaired and washed via our repairs service. Simply purchase a repair and select a wash on the same page. Click here for a repair.

We’ll do our best to deal with mud stains, and that red wine from after your summit success, but we can’t guarantee all stains will be completely removed. Re-lofting insulation and restoration of waterproof ability cannot be guaranteed either. Heavily soiled items and gear that has not been cared for or stored correctly, is unlikely to recover full performance.
