Men’s Down Jackets FAQs
What does down-fill power mean?
Down fill power represents the quality of the down used in each item. The higher the rating, the better quality and fluffier the down.
Our down jackets use a range of fill powers, strategically chosen for each jacket’s intended use.
How do I wash a down jacket?
To wash a down jacket, use a front-loading washing machine on a gentle cycle with a specific down detergent. Avoid fabric softeners, as they can affect the jacket’s insulation. Always rinse thoroughly to ensure no detergent residue remains.
If you're worried about washing it yourself, send your jacket to us, and we’ll take care of it.
Is a down jacket waterproof?
Rab offers a range of jackets that are both waterproof and down-filled. However, not all down jackets are waterproof, so it's important to purchase the right jacket for the environment you'll be using it in.
Rab treats all down jackets with a water-resistant (DWR) coating to help repel light rain and moisture. If you expect heavy rain or wet conditions, wearing a waterproof shell over your jacket is best.
