How to Repair a Waterproof Jacket or Pants

If you rip your waterproof pants or jacket in a remote location, a patch provides a hardwearing temporary fix to see you through until you can send your gear to our Service Centre for a more permanent repair. 

• When applying a patch repair to waterproof jackets or trousers, it’s important to clean the affected area as much as possible beforehand.    

• Once it’s clean, apply a repair patch of a suitable size. A circle is best for this to avoid corners lifting, but any patch is better than none.   

• Try to avoid patching across the stitching. Make sure you apply the patch as smoothly as possible – using the back of your nail can help with this.   
  

This should last until you’re back and can send your waterproof pants or jacket to us for a permanent repair. Our Service Centre is always here to help you keep your garments going for as long as possible.
