Leo Brasil
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Leonardo is an adventure storyteller and endurance athlete who has been immersed in sports throughout his entire life. He relocated to the United States at the age of 17 to attend a prestigious tennis academy in Florida.
However, after three years of rigorous training, ankle surgery and mental burnout pushed him away from the sport. It was during his studies in Colorado that he discovered his passion for trail running, completing his first ultra race just a few months later. Cycling soon followed.
In a world dominated by cars, Leo has never owned one. He has always favored bicycles and public transport as his modes of transportation. During the COVID-19 pandemic, his perspective on cycling transformed with a simple thought: “I want to go have coffee in Nederland today. ”This impulse led to his first 150-mile ride. Since then, he has participated in numerous ultra-distance races and bikepacking adventures, ranging from 200 to 2,000 miles all across the world.
