Lisen Strøm
Lisen is a Norwegian skier, born and raised in the capitol Oslo. She grew up ski racing, but started looking towards the untouched mountains gradually. After finishing high school she attended a half year avalanche course and developed skills to manage in the mountains by herself. During university she competed in freeride competitions in Norway, Europe and North America. She holds a 2nd overall and 3rd overall in the Norwegian Freeride Series.
Skiing has always been a part of her life. From going to the mountains with her family as a kid, to meeting a professional skier in Senja who convinced her to come over to Salt Lake City for university; skiing has been leading Lisen’s life. These days she’s based out of Tromsø, a small town far north in Norway close to the Lyngen alps. The accessibility to skitouring is unheard of, half an hour away is some of the best skiing in Tromsø.
Lisen has been featured in the Norwegian skiing community for a long time through films such as Bergtatt (which she also produced), Mom’s Turn and Light Lines. In 2024 she co-produced and starred in Odyssey of Loppa.
