What is Pertex®?

Innovative fabric technologies.

Born on the rugged moors of Lancashire in 1979, Pertex® have forged a reputation for combining technical disciplines to create cutting-edge, industry-leading fabric technologies.

Today, they continue to innovate from their base in Japan, pushing the boundaries of technical outdoor fabrics while remaining true to their brand values of progressiveness, partnership, perseverance, and planet.

Rab x Pertex®

Our partnership with Pertex® is one that dates back to the 1980s, with our founder playing a pivotal role in developing the industry-first Pertex® fabrics used in our earliest designs.

This collaboration resulted in fabrics that were ever lighter, softer, and better responded to the needs of mountain people negotiating tough environments.

Today, our gear is crafted with a new generation of Pertex® fabrics, meticulously selected for their ability to adapt to a wider range of activities and conditions.
