Josep Grau Prat

Josep Grau Prat

Passion and motivation for climbing are two adjectives that define Josep Grau Prat. With twenty years of experience in glacierism and mountaineering, featuring multiple ascents of some classic routes. His field of work is located mainly in the Pyrenees and the Alps, although his passion has taken him to many other places in the world.

His beginnings in ice climbing were at the beautiful Ulldeter school (Catalonia). From there he traveled throughout the Pyrenees and the Alps from end to end, going on to make more distant trips, always in search of ice.

Surely, he is the climber who has climbed all the classic waterfalls of the Pyrenees and the Alps, both high and low difficulty. Motivated to look for new ascents in remote corners or ones that he has not climbed.

This passion for seeking new climbs has led him to travel around the world: To the Rock Mountains of Canada; in the Colorado region of the United States; Nepal, Chile, Norway, and has even managed to climb ice waterfalls in Morocco.

Currently, he continues with the same passion and enthusiasm as the first day. A great connoisseur of waterfalls has led him to be a reference point for both ice and rock climbing.
