California Proposition 65 requires manufacturers to post clear and reasonable warnings on any products, or in any locations, that could ‘knowingly and intentionally’ expose consumers to any of the listed chemicals. There are over 900 chemicals are on the Prop 65 list which can be viewed here (https://oehha.ca.gov/proposition-65/proposition-65-list).
Prop 65 warning does not necessarily mean a product is in violation of any product-safety standards or requirements. Some products may contain one or more listed chemical that by Prop 65 standards may present a risk of cancer and/or reproductive harm if exposure levels to an individual are high. The warning has been provided as a note of caution as opposed to indicate harm.
We do not believe our products cause any harm when used as designed. We provide the warning in order to comply with this California ‘right-to-know’ law.
Our products are sold globally. While we try to ensure that only products destined for California have the Prop 65 Warning, it would be extremely difficult and costly to determine which products will be ultimately sold or brought into California. To ensure compliance with Proposition 65 requirements, we have decided to include these warnings on all our products sold in the US. On occasion, due to the complexity of the supply chain, these products may end up in other countries, where the label can be misleading.
