The Rab Mountain Marathon has been running since 2007 and is one of the best loved events of its kind. It is a points-based multi-day fell running race, which is as difficult as you want to make it.
The race has not been held in the same area twice and competitors have raced across some of the most attractive mountain scenery in the UK. Previous events have taken place in areas such as the Lake District, the Brecon Beacons and Northumberland.
Famously relaxed and welcoming, the fun and friendly atmosphere of the Rab Mountain Marathon is epitomised by the lack of prescribed start times, the wide spread of prize categories (including Veteran and Super Veteran) and the opportunity for younger competitors (aged 14+) to participate.
The score courses – choice between Long Score and Short Score – put the competitors in control of how long they spend out each day, and also provide an almost unlimited challenge for the leading elite runners.
Entries are now open for the 2015 event, location to be confirmed. See you in September!
