This summer seems to be defined under ‘trad climbing motivation’.

I decided with my friend Sylvain « Chuchu » to go and climb in Charpoua area in Chamonix. The main objective being the route Sale Athée in The Moine Spine, 350m, ED+.

We started  from Maurienne valley early in the morning, driving to Chamonix, Montenvers train and we chose to climb a route in the « Flammes de Pierres » area, on the way to Charpoua's refuge : « Flammes du désir », 250m, ED-

1 hour walking is was necessary to join the refuge where Christophe gave us a very nice welcome !! Thanks to him.

Thunderstorms and heavy rain the whole night… the rock was completely wet in the morning :-(

We decided to wait until better weather and go back to the Flammes de Pierre, to climb « Élan vertical », 250m, ED+... the route is really steady «grade 6c+/7a»  just magic !!:-)

We'll be back for Sale Athée, next summer I hope…
