MAY

Snowdon Sky Race, UK | 8th May 2022

The UK's most spectacular Skyrunning race route: 40km & 3150m+ taking in the iconic Tryfan North Ridge and Crib Goch Grade 1 scrambles, as well as a plethora of technical trails and singletrack! If you like your trail running on the technical side, then you're going to LOVE this race!

Rab Skiddaw Vertical Race, UK | 20th May 2022

8.8km Run with 997m of Elevation

Aim for the skies on this exciting race to the summit of Skiddaw, 3rd tallest mountain in England.

Starting at the iconic Moot Hall home of the Bob Graham Round take it easy as you wind your way through the Keswick streets to the bottom of the climb, then take it up a notch (or maybe two) as you take on the vertical sprint to the summit.

The race will be live streamed with a screen into Market Square from both Little Man summit and Skiddaw summit where runners will be greeted by a razzmatazz finish!

40km of mountain terrain and 2800m ascent: Scafell Sky Race is played out on technical, single-track trails from start to finish. It’s a Lake District journey that will test the speed and endurance of experienced and aspiring mountain runners.

Scafell Sky Race was the UK National Team qualifying race for the Skyrunning World Championships 2018, based in Scotland at the Skyline Scotland events.

Besseggløpet, NO | June 18th, 2022

Run Norway’s national trail.

Besseggløpet follows the trail for Norway’s most famous hike, Besseggen - a steep and rocky ridgeline with breathtaking views of the Jotunheim mountains in every direction. The race starts after a short ferry ride across a lake to the mountain hut called Memurubu. The demanding trail takes you roughly 14km over rugged terrain before ending at Gjendesheim. There is a reason that over 60,000 people hike Besseggen every summer – and now an even better reason to run it.

Entries are open to all skyrunners that will tackle this ultra-distance route, taking in Striding and Swirral Edge amongst other extremely technical terrain, demanding that the competitors have superb mountain skills.

Psotkov Memorial, Slovakia | 15 October 2022

Basic: 26 km – 1600m vertical

Extreme: 38km – 2500m vertical

The Psotkov Memorial race is taking place in memory of five Slovak climbers who lost their lives on Mount Everest in the 1980ies. The race is split in two categories: The BASIC route has 26 km and 1600 m elevation gain, the EXTREME route has 38 km with an elevation gain of 2500 m. 90% of the routes lead along marked hiking trails, 10% along grassy cross-country trails and slopes.
