Ben Tibbetts is something of a mountain renaissance man, who works as a British Mountain Guide and has more than a passing talent for photography.

Orginially introduced to climbing, as a Fine Art student in Edinburgh, Ben has turned a hobby into a profession. Now based in Chamonix, he has access to central Europe’s finest alpine playground. He is a very accomplished alpinist across all of the classic disciplines, from lung-busting ski mountaineering intineraries to extended rock routes. He holds a place on the British Ski Mountaineering Team and has competed internationally.

Ben also has extensive experience in polar regions, having spent two years working for the British Antarctic Survey in Antarctica and two seasons in north east Greenland. In amongst all of this he still finds time to climb in Scotland over the winter from time to time.

With over 15 winter seasons of climbing, skiing and much more besides, there is little he hasn’t done in the mountains. However, alongside this he also developed a fantastic photography portfolio, which brings to life both the beautiful and spine-tingling sides of the mountains in equal measure.
